Home Vulnerability/ Security Evaluation
Go over any and all security measures for the home. This can include alarms, cameras, weapon systems the access to them as well as the understanding of them. Also a crisis management plan for the home (and family members) in the event of a security breach.
Active Threat Engagement Strategies
Unfortunately we live in a unsafe world and as much as one may attempt to do everything in their power to mitigate their exposure to threats and unsafe situations, some situations are unavoidable. With that in mind this course will help the individual to be able to defend themselves against a number of different types of threats both physically and mentally. All threats you will encounter may not be a lethal response option. This course will help you understand when and what course of action to take and how to physically defend yourself.
Situational Awareness
Can be defined simply as “knowing what is going on around us”. This course will give the individual real-world experience and exposure to day-to-day situations they may encounter and how to properly assess, respond and react.
Room Clearing
Clearing buildings has been called both Close-Quarters Battle (CQB) and Close-Quarters Combat (CQC) but the truth is that regardless of what you call it, the principles and premises you need to clear a room safely and successfully are pretty much the same regardless of the situation, from the techniques used by elite special operations (like the kind who took down Osama bin Laden) to those of the local swat team. This is good news for civilian shooters who can acquire effective tactics for indoor defense by adopting the guiding principles of speed, surprise and violence of action. In this course you will be instructed to clear rooms of a residence. Not a training building that usually has no similarity to a real structure other than it having a roof and walls but your very own residence!
De-escalation Techniques
A behavior that is intended to prevent escalation of conflicts. It may also refer to approaches in conflict resolution. This course can help the individual to separate themselves from a potentially dangerous situation.
Vulnerability and Risk Assessment
This course is designed to help the individual in recognizing locations, routes traveled and subtle clues in their environment to hopefully prevent or help mitigate exposure to an unsafe scenarios they may be exposed to. The course will also help create an outline of mental thought processes used to help keep them and their family safe in their day-to-day lives.
